Reportedly, Tesla (TSLA) is set to suspend Model Y assembly between December 25 and January 1 at its Shanghai plant. The suspension at the end of the month is reportedly a part of a reduction in planned production of about 30% in the month for the Model Y, Tesla’s best-selling model, at China’s Shanghai factory. The Shanghai factory, which is the most important manufacturing hub for Tesla maintained normal operations last year during December.
The EV giant is aiming production of just over 20,000 Model Y vehicles for the combined last three weeks of December, including the week of suspended output.
