Dubai’s Emirates Airlines Concerned About Delayed Boeing’s 787 Deliveries – $BA $DIA

By John F. Heerdink, Jr.

The Dubai-based carrier, Emirates airline announced that it may face further delayed deliveries of Boeing’s (BA) 787 Dreamliners by atleast a year until 2024 and that it could be even longer due to Boeing’s continued delivery suspension over structural flaws. Three years ago, Emirates ordered 30 787 Dreamliners as part of a broader deal that cut the number of orders for larger 777X jets, which is also delayed now.

“Now we know for sure that’s not going to happen in 2023. It may not even happen in 2024,” stated Chief Operating Officer Adel Al Redha when asked about Dreamliner deliveries.
A Boeing spokesperson informed that deliveries would continue to be impacted, adding, “We are completing comprehensive inspections across 787 production and within the supply chain, while holding detailed, transparent discussions with the FAA (U.S. civil aviation regulator), suppliers and our customers.”
