Jacqueline Arthur Succeeds Bentley de Beyer To Lead Goldman Sachs HR Unit – $GS $DIA $INVO

By John F. Heerdink, Jr.

Reportedly, Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (GS) has appointed Jacqueline Arthur, a 15-year veteran of the bank, to run human resources starting Jan. 1.  Arthur, 45, will take over from Bentley de Beyer, who has been the bank’s global head of human capital management since early 2020.

Jacqueline Arthur, 45 who currently serves as chief operating and strategy officer of the human resources division will report to John Waldron, Goldman’s president and chief operating officer, and join the bank’s management committee. After retirement, De Beyer to continue as an advisory director at the start of next year.

Arthur’s appointment in HR is a highlight at a time when gender inequality is being scrutinized at the bank. A long-running class action by about 1,800 plaintiffs accused Goldman of systematically paying women less than men, and giving women weaker performance reviews that slowed their career growth.

“Goldman Sachs is proud of its long record of promoting and supporting women, and we look forward to vigorously defending ourselves against these baseless claims,” a Goldman Sachs spokesperson stated.
