By John F. Heerdink, Jr.

As per reports, The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (GS)  is looking for ways such as seizing vested pay to discourage top bankers from leaving. The U.S major is looking at confiscating vested stock of Omer Ismail and David Stark, both of who left the bank last year. Additionally, Goldman is also pulling unvested compensation from executives Gregg Lemkau and Eric Lane who left the bank for companies that would be considered clients.

“Equity awards are governed by the agreement signed by the recipient. In each case mentioned by Bloomberg, there were explicit terms which were upheld,” stated a spokesperson for the bank.
