NIKE, Inc. (NKE) & its subsidiary, Converse continue to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community with their colorful new footwear. Nike has celebrated its Pride Month with its “Be True” collection since 2012. Nike’s “Be True” footwear and apparel collection, offers each sneaker a velcro patch to which the customer can choose from eight flags to affix to their shoe, including lesbian, progress, transgender, intersex flag, bisexual pansexual, genderqueer, asexual, or agender flags.
The “Be True” collection includes four footwear offerings:
- the Infinity React priced at $160 featuring Nike’s Flyknit design;
- the Air Max Pre-Day at $130 sporting a blue hue and colorful gradient Swoosh;
- the classic Blazer ’77 Low for $90, featuring a rainbow Swoosh;
- the All Out Utility Slide for $45.
The brand donated over $625,000 to 18 LGBTQIA+ community projects, this year.
