Reportedly, McDonald’s Corporation (MCD) is expanding the test of its McPlant, a plant-based burger made by Beyond Meat Inc. (BYND), from Feb. 14 to ~600 locations in the San Francisco Bay and Dallas-Fort Worth areas. The McPlant U.S test began Nov. 3 in eight locations in Texas, Iowa, Louisiana, and California. The burger has already debuted in parts of Europe, including Sweden, Denmark, and the U.K.
Menu items that taste and feel meat have become more commonplace on fast-food menus. KFC restaurants are currently selling a limited-time offer of Beyond Fried Chicken, which is another product from Beyond Meat.
