Walgreens Appoints Holly May, EVP & Global Chief Human Resources Officer & Anita Allemand, Chief Transformation and Integration Officer

As per reports, Walgreen Boots Alliance (WBA) announced two major executive leadership positions, where Holly May was appointed Executive Vice President and Global Chief Human Resources Officer, and Anita Allemand was appointed Chief Transformation and Integration Officer. May and Allemand will report to Roz Brewer, WBA CEO, as members of her leadership team.

May joins the retailer as EVP and Global Chief Human Resources Officer and will be responsible for the strategy and direction of innovative global HR programs, policies, and practices that support WBA’s business goals and initiatives, and for ensuring fair and equitable treatment for all team members. May is expected to join in late October Most recently, Holly May served as Global Chief Human Resources Officer for Abercrombie & Fitch Co., managing all aspects of HR and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts globally. May graduated from Wellesley College and earned her Masters of Finance degree from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.

Anita Allemand will join in a newly created role as Chief Transformation and Integration Officer on Oct. 29 and will be responsible for supporting Brewer as a strategic thought leader, establishing and leading the overall transformation agenda for WBA as the company works on its strategy and path forward in healthcare. Prior to Walgreens, Allemand was Senior Vice President of Health Solutions for Optum, a UnitedHealth Group company, Allemand graduated from the University of Illinois and received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Midwestern University.
