The board of Boeing Company (BA) announced the appointment of David L. Joyce, 64 to the board, effective immediately, where he will serve on the Aerospace Safety and Compensation committees, as per reports. The board also announced the retirement of Admiral Edmund P. Giambastiani Jr from the board at the end of 2021.
In 2020, David L. Joyce retired from General Electric as vice-chair, where he earlier served as CEO and president of GE Aviation from 2008 to 2020. Joyce completed both his Bachelor of Science and master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University. He holds his master’s in business finance from Xavier University.
In 2009, Adm (ret.) Edmund P. Giambastiani joined the Boeing board after a distinguished military career.
