Hyundai Motors and Apple Inc. (AAPL) to enter a partnership for the production of autonomous Apple electric cars by March with production starting as early as 2024 in the United States, as reported by a local newspaper Korea IT News.
The companies plan to build the cars at Kia Motors’, (an affiliate of Hyundai Motors) factory in Georgia, or jointly invest and set-up a new factory in the United States. Apple and Hyundai plan to produce 100,000 vehicles in 2024 at the proposed plant with 400,000 vehicles of an annual capacity. Both the companies plan to release a beta version of the Apple cars next year.
