As per reports, Microsoft (MSFT) and Alphabet Inc’s Google have been chosen by Wells Fargo & Co (WFC) to serve as its public cloud providers, embracing a multi-cloud approach.
Microsoft’s Azure will serve as the bank’s primary cloud provider, while Google Cloud will provide additional business-critical public cloud services. The partnership makes Wells Fargo the latest big bank to use third-party data centers for cloud-related services. Multi-cloud provides flexibility, allowing businesses to off-load some of the huge costs of running their own data centers by renting public ones.
