Reportedly, Honeywell’s (HON) Flight Management System (FMS) has been selected by Airbus to meet the air traffic management needs of the future A320, A330, and A350 aircraft. The new FMS will allow airline customers to experience best-in-class operational efficiency, reliability, and safety. It also incorporates connectivity with the outside world, including Electronic Flight Bags (EFB), easing the pilot’s workload and also enhancing fuel savings along with real-time data.
The Flight Management System (FMS) will be offered as a single standardized software and hardware platform that can be used across the Airbus A320, A330, and A350 aircraft fleet expected to be operational by end of 2026.
