Peloton Ties With UnitedHealth Offering Free Fitness Classes To Its Insured Members

Reportedly, upscale fitness bike maker Peloton Interactive Inc. (PTON) is teaming up with insurer UnitedHealth Group (UNH) to offer fitness classes to fully insured UnitedHealth members. The members of the U.S. health insurer can enroll with Peloton starting Sept. 1.

“Expanding access to Peloton’s industry-leading health and wellness community builds upon our commitment to developing digital health resources and consumer-centric benefits to help people live healthier lives,” stated Philip Kaufman, UnitedHealth Group Chief Operating Officer.

Nearly 4 million UnitedHealth members will have access and benefit from the Peloton App for free for 12 months. The on-demand classes include running, yoga, meditation, and cycling, walking. At the year-end, participants can renew the membership at the market rate directly through Peloton, the company informed.
