(WMT) by supplying the retailer’s e-commerce network with sustainable solutions. GenKey hydrogen and fuel cell solutions offer flexibility, scalability, and fast fueling make it uniquely suitable for rapid growth and peak demands of eCommerce applications.
Plug Power has been providing Walmart with its GenKey hydrogen and fuel cell solutions since 2010 for its material handling fleet. Walmart, a leader in deploying hydrogen fuel cell technology in electric vehicles uses about 9,500 Plug Power fuel cell vehicles at 37 of its North American distribution centers.
Plug Power’s ProGen and GenDrive fuel cell solutions are used to power a wide range of logistics vehicles for a variety of customers. The company has been expanding its hydrogen and fuel cell solutions into Walmart’s eCommerce network, with the first deployments in August 2020, and plans for additional expansion this year. During the pandemic, Plug Power’s products have enabled leading retailers like Walmart to fulfill increased demand from customers at a rapid pace.
