As per reports, the Board of Directors, Walmart (WMT) has appointed Randall Stephenson, 60, former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AT&T Inc., as a new member of the company’s board, effective March 3. Stephenson adds as the 12th member of the board. Stephenson retired in January of 2021 as the Executive Chairman of the Board of AT&T after a 38-year career with the company that started in 1982 with Southwestern Bell Telephone. Earlier he fulfilled his roles as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of AT&T from 2007 until July 2020.

Stephenson completed his Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Oklahoma and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Central State University, which is now known as the University of Central Oklahoma.
