As per reports, the Verizon Foundation (VZ) is contributing $250K to Feeding Texas to support relief efforts in communities across the state after a recent historic storm. The organization will use the funds to relieve hunger needs, which was further saddened by the storms. Verizon customers can contribute to relief efforts by texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 and $10 will be added to their bill and upon confirmation of the billing zip code, the amount will be donated to American Red Cross.
Customers can also donate $10, a one-time donation to the Salvation Army USA, by sending a text to RESCUE to 52000. The salvation army is working to provide shelter, food, and other necessary items to those in need.
