Verizon Advances Samantha Hammock To The Position of Executive VP & Chief Human Resources Officer

Reportedly, Verizon Communications, Inc. (VZ) announced the appointment of Samantha Hammock to Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of Verizon, effective December 1, 2021. Samantha Hammock will report to Hans Vestberg, Verizon Chairman and CEO.

Sam served 14 years at American Express (AXP), most recently as the Head of Talent and Learning, before joining Verizon as the Senior Vice President of Global Talent. Sam Hammock will be responsible for Verizon’s HR practice, including engaging, attracting, and retaining talent to support Verizon’s foothold as a network leader and deliver the promise of 5G.
