Brian Thompson has been named as the Chief Executive Officer of UnitedHealthcare, the health benefit unit of UnitedHealth Group (UNH), as per reports. Thompson joined UnitedHealth Group in 2004 and recently served as CEO of UnitedHealthcare’s government programs including the Medicare & Retirement and Community & State businesses.
