FAA Names Experts To Review Boeing’s Safety Features & Report Findings – $BA $DIA $INM $ATOS

As per reports, the Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. has listed 24 experts to review Boeing’s (BA) safety management processes and how they influence the aerospace giant’s safety mechanism after two fatal 737 MAX crashes that killed 346 people onboard. The panel, which was required by Congress under a 2020 law to reform how the FAA certifies new airplanes, includes MIT lecturer and aerospace engineer Javier de Luis whose sister was killed in a MAX crash, as well as experts from NASA, the FAA, labor unions, Airbus, Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, United Airlines, GE Aviation, FedEx Express, and Pratt & Whitney.

The panel will have nine months to complete its review and issue findings and recommendations, the FAA informed.

  • Activated 11 clinical trial sites in seven countries for the Phase 2 study

  • Expanded from adult subjects to include adolescents following independent review of early safety data

  • Progressed clinical trial with enrollment and treatment of 15 patients, with the 16th patient enrolled for treatment in early January 2023
