Will Netflix Subscribers Ditch Its Streaming Service For Disney+?
In a recent survey by “Streaming Observer” (an independent site that covers streaming technology) Netflix (NFLX) is expected to see a reduction in its subscriber base if Walt Disney (DIS) launches its streaming services Disney+ in November. Netflix which currently has a paid subscriber base of 60 million in the United States, may suffer cancellations reducing its subscriber base to 51 million. According to the survey, 12% of the subscribers said they would prefer Disney+ over Netflix, & change is in mind & expected. However, 2 percent of the users assured that they would discontinue Netflix after the launch of Disney+. Families with kids were more in favor of Disney+ as compared to Netflix. Subscribers to be charged $7 per month by Disney+ in comparison to $9 charged by Netflix.
