Reportedly, the business software group SAP has entered into a three-year partnership, named “Embrace” with Microsoft to assist its large enterprise customers to move businesses into the cloud. The integrated product to be sold through Microsoft’s distribution channels, as reported.
“We bundled SAP’s cloud platform services to support customers around the extension, integration, and orchestration of SAP systems,” stated new Co-Chief Executive Officer Jennifer Morgans at the third-quarter earnings release.
The deal is reported to have helped SAP to increase new cloud bookings in tQ3 resulting in a 10% increase in revenue and a 15% rise in operating profit for the quarter. The partnership is also expected to resolve complaints from many customers regarding the difficulty to shift from SAP’s traditional model to remote hosted services.
