Overwatch League Confirms Deal With AB InBev As Its Official Sponsor

Overwatch is an intense 6v6 action game that emphasizes teamwork and individual skill. Players choose heroes with diverse and powerful abilities, then clash on a variety of maps set in famous locations across the globe. The Overwatch League is an international esports league comprising 20 city-based teams, featuring the best Overwatch players on the planet. The 280-match regular season begins in February and concludes with postseason playoffs in the fall. With USD $5 million in prizes, thrilling storylines, guaranteed player salaries, and cutting-edge production value, the Overwatch League is the world’s premier esports league. ABI’s Bud Light brand will be the official beer sponsor for the Overwatch League. ABI is being added to the list of sponsors like Coca-Cola, Toyota, T-Mobile and Intel for the brand. The deal is to include sponsorship for Fan activities in addition ABI and Bud Light will be a part of the Grand Finals too. Disney’s ABC and ESPN2 to broadcast the league in the following slots:
  • April 27, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. EDT on ESPN2
  • July 6, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. EDT on ABC
  • July 7, 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. EDT on ESPN2
As per reports, João Chueiri, AB InBev’s senior vice president of consumer connections marketing stated “Our company has a long history of aligning ourselves with great sports partners and Overwatch League certainly fits that bill,”
Overwatch League and ABI both sounded equally thrilled to be associated with each other.
