McDonald’s Launches Training for Approximately 850,000 Workers

McDonald’s Corporation (MCD) along with the National Franchisee Leadership Alliance (NFLA), the elected body representing more than 2,000 McDonald’s U.S. franchisees are launching a training program for approximately 850,000 individuals working at McDonald’s brand restaurants across the country to support, encourage, and empower a working professional for a safe work environment. The initiative to start in October, this year will train restaurant supervisors and crew through an interactive computer-based program along with in-person discussion and would include :

• Training employees to help deal difficult situations arising in the workplace with colleagues, seniors, and customers.
• Educate staff on discrimination or any other immoral behavior in the workplace that may arise and how to report the same to the concerned bodies. Create awareness among supervisors on how unconscious bias can affect relations and employee confidence.
• Prevent and identify bullying in the workplace.
• The drive aims to bring in uniformity and erase unbiased behavior in the workplace ensuring equal opportunity for all.
