Japan Display Inc To Enter OLED Battle
Recently, it was reported that Japan Display Inc will enter the OLED display or screen market by initially supplying them for the production of Apple watches later this year. The collaboration comes as a relief for Japan Display, whose business has suffered due to Apple’s recent shift from LCD and low sales of iPhone XR in 2018 (the only LCD model of Apple Inc). Currently, Samsung Display Inc is the only supplier for OLED panels for iPhones and LG Display provides the bulk of the panels for Apple watch.
