Reportedly, Intel Corporation (INTC) Murthy Renduchintala, Chief Engineering Officer is scheduled to depart on Aug 3, as part of a move where the company’s key technology unit will be separated into five teams. Intel is reorganizing its technology, client group, and systems architecture. All the new leaders will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Bob Swan. Development of 7-nanometer and 5-nanometer chip technology processes will be headed by Ann Kelleher, a 24-year Intel veteran.
Renduchintala joined Intel in 2015 and was one of several key hires from outside Intel. He was executive vice president of Qualcomm Inc and part of Accenture’s board since April 2018. Renduchintala later took responsibility for turning around Intel’s process technology, which struggled with years of delay for its current 10-nanometer process.
