Intel Corporation (INTC) seeks to expand the boundaries of technology to provide the most amazing experience possible while designing, manufacturing, and selling integrated digital technology globally.
Intel launched new microprocessors, including a 10nm chip for wireless 5G base stations and a second-generation Xeon processor for data centers. The new Xeon chips are equipped to deliver better per-dollar performance than the last generation and the 10nm chip, P5900 to become the leading silicon provider in base stations by next year.
The growing demand from cloud computing companies has surged the sale of server chips. Last month Intel announced to launch nine 10nm products in 2020 along with its 7nm product next year. Due to the delays in the struggle to launch its 10nm chip technology, Intel lost lead to its rivals like AMD for the supply of “new data economy”, including 5G, autonomous vehicles, and artificial intelligence.
The chipmaker was set to launch the new chips in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress, but the event got canceled due to growing fears over the coronavirus.
