Intel Features Its Mobileye Demos Autonomous Car At CES

Intel Corporation (INTC) seeks to expand the boundaries of technology to provide the most amazing experience possible while designing, manufacturing, and selling integrated digital technology globally.

As per reports, Intel released a video of its Mobileye autonomous car navigating the streets of Jerusalem for about 20 minutes with the assistance of 12 onboard cameras and no sensors, as a part of its venture to provide the brains and eyes of automated vehicles. The video featured at a news conference at tech show CES in Las Vegas with the car navigating through four-way intersections with no traffic lights and avoiding pedestrians (link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kNUVM8s0nc&feature=youtu.be). Intel said its technology can create 3D models from 2D camera images to assist in an autonomous driving system to better sense the environment, the processing of which is done with two of its latest autonomous driving EyeQ5 chips.
