Reportedly, Florida East Coast Industries is planning to develop 1 million-square-foot distribution warehouse for Home Depot in Hialeah. The warehouse is expected to be developed on 72.74 acres of land from West 40th Avenue to Northwest 107th Avenue and West 104th Street to West 108th Street. The project to consist of two buildings one would comprise of the market distribution center and other would serve as a flatbed distribution center.
“This is part of our investment strategy we announced over a year ago to speed up delivery to customers and stores, eventually reaching 90% of our customers with same day/next day delivery,”, “However, because of competitive reasons, we’re not ready to discuss details,” stated Home Depot spokeswoman Margaret W. Smith.
