Goldman Sachs Set To Reduce Partner Numbers

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (GS) is one of the world’s leading investment bankers & also a securities and investment management firm that offers a wide range of financial services with a diversified client base.

As per reports, the Goldman Sachs Group is set to bid goodbye to a number of key partners this year. Goldman is now moving towards reducing at least 15 percent of its key partners, as reported in the Wall Street Journal. CEO David Solomon, who previously served the bank as Chief Operating Officer described the partnership ranks to be swollen.

Reportedly, high profile partners like Elisha Wiesel serving the bank as the chief information officer, and Steve Strongin heading the Goldman’s research division are expected to leave their positions. Jeff Nedelman, a senior partner in stock trading quit on Wednesday, and Martin Chavez, co-head of Goldman’s trading division announced retirement this week.
