Beverage giant, the Coca-Cola Company (KO) to set its foot in the U.S alcohol market with the alcoholic version of Topo Chico sparkling water in partnership with beer giant Molson Coors Beverage Co, as per reports. The launch will be the company’s first alcoholic drink in the country, expanding its market beyond Latin America and Japan where it sells Lemon-Do drink.
Topo Chic is expected to be launched in the first half of 2021 by Molson Coors, with Molson strengthening its business as consumers prefer low-alcohol spirits, including hard seltzers, and premium beers. Topo Chico, a low-calorie drink will compete with the popular White Claw beverage and other hard seltzers in the market.
