As per reports, Cisco Systems, Inc. (CSCO) will purchase San Francisco-based startup ThousandEyes Inc. for about $1 billion to boost its software and service capabilities.
ThousandEyes keeps in check whether the end-user of internet service is getting what’s promised and intended, and tracks how that service is delivered to identify potential problems while servicing. The company is approved by several venture capital firms like Sequoia Capital, Salesforce Ventures, and Sutter Hill Ventures with $110 million raised. The buy will complement the business Cisco has developed around AppDynamics acquired in 2017
“By bringing together Cisco’s strength in network and application performance with ThousandEyes’ visibility into the internet, customers will now have an end-to-end view into the digital delivery of applications and services over the internet,” Cisco said in the statement.
Cisco expects to close the deal before the end of its fiscal first quarter, as per reports.
