As per reports, Chevron Corporation (CVX) is working to achieve a lower carbon energy system, and lessen dependence on fossil fuels embracing a lower carbon future, informed its CEO, Mike Wirth in a CNBC interview.
The company is seeking to provide high returns to shareholders while lowering carbon emissions with its initiatives such as hydrogen, nuclear fusion, and technologies to scale the projects. This year in September, Chevron entered a joint venture called CalBioGas LLC, with California Bioenergy and local dairy farmers to convert biomass into clean energy. The partnership will include renewable natural gas production from dairy farms in Kern County, north of Los Angeles.
