Chevron Commences Evacuation From Gulf Platforms Ahead Of Two Tropical Cyclones

As per reports, Chevron Corporation (CVX) is evacuating offshore personnel from its offshore oil facilities as two tropical cyclones head toward the U.S Gulf of Mexico. The company is evacuating and initiating shut-in procedures at its Big Foot, Genesis, Jack/St. Malo and Tahiti platforms and removing non-essential workers from two additional facilities, its Blind Faith and Petronius platform however, the production at those facilities remain undisturbed.

The tropical cyclones moving toward the Gulf of Mexico is expected to make landfall as hurricanes next week causing massive disruption from Texas to the Florida Panhandle.
