As per reports, Apple (AAPL) is gearing up to build at least 75 million 5G iPhones towards the year-end. The company is launching four new models in October with fifth-generation wireless speeds with different designs and a wider choice of screen sizes. Apple along with its manufacturing partners has been pushing up production ahead of the iPhone launch. The company’s assembly partner Hon Hai Precision Industry Co has been gearing up to recruit workers over the past month for its main iPhone campus in Zhengzhou.
The company is also preparing to launch a new iPad Air, two new versions of Apple Watch versions, over-ear headphones, and a smaller HomePod speaker. The demand for its iPhone’s and Mac computers has increased as the pandemic has pushed people to study and work remotely.
iPhones generate almost half of Apple’s sales, pushing Apple stocks by 76% this year and making Apple the first U.S. company to surpass $2 trillion in market value. For the first time, the new phones will be available into two basic and two high-end models and will feature OLED displays with improved color and clarity. The smartphones will sport updated designs with squared edges similar to the iPad Pro.
The new Apple Watch, a successor to the Apple Watch Series 5 and a replacement for the Series 3 will compete with other fitness devices like Fitbit Inc. The smaller HomePodwhich, praised for or its audio quality will be available for a lower price with fewer speakers.
The new Apple TV will be available with a faster processor delivering improved gaming and an upgraded remote control feature, however that device might not ship until next year, as per reports. A new remote feature similar to Find My iPhone is also in progress that would make the TV accessory easier to find, as per reports.
