Dow 30 Component, The Walt Disney Company (DIS), and its subsidiaries is a diversified worldwide entertainment company that operates in four business segments: Studio Entertainment, Media Networks, Parks and Resorts, and Consumer Products & Interactive Media. The shareholders of Disney have announced that it elected nine members of its Board of Directors at the 2019 Annual Meeting that was held on March 7 at the Stifel Theatre in St. Louis, MO. All the directors that stood for election were elected to the board. Those nine members include Susan E. Arnold, Mary T. Barra, Safra A. Catz, Francis A. deSouza, Michael Froman, Robert A. Iger, Maria Elena Lagomasino, Mark G. Parker, and Derica W. Rice. Along with the election of the nine members, the shareholders chose to approve the advisory resolution on executive compensation and to appoint PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and the independent accountants of The Walt Disney Company for the fiscal year of 2019, which will end on September 28, 2019.
