Reportedly, 3M (MMM) is continuing to increase the production of face masks after President Trump announced that he was invoking the Defense Production Act to get the company production rolling for more face masks. 3M to work closely with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to produce the masks.
On Thursday, the White House announced that President Donald Trump is enforcing the Defense Production Act to smoothen up supply-chain issues in respect to the manufacturing of ventilators and to ensure the production of additional N95 face masks.
The Defense Production Act, according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, is “the primary source of presidential authorities to expedite and expand the supply of resources from the US industrial base to support military, energy, space and homeland security programs.”
